SHANGHAI DISPATCH: The Golden Mile. Inside Scent Lab 33's Rooftop Gala on The Bund
Shanghai does not do "Understated."
While Tokyo was a silent clinic, Shanghai was a Royal Banquet. Last night, facing the freezing winds of the Huangpu River, Scent Lab 33 hosted an exclusive, invite-only gala on the rooftop of a historic building on The Bund.

We constructed a heated glass pavilion overlooking the Lujiazui skyline. The interior paid homage to "Old Shanghai" Art Deco—velvet curtains, brass fixtures, and dim amber lighting.
The Contrast: Outside, it was 2°C and misty. Inside, it was warm, intoxicating, and smelled of burnt sugar.
THE SCENT: Caramelized Orange Peel
In a city that loves dessert and luxury, "Fresh" scents can sometimes feel too cold for winter. We knew exactly what Shanghai needed.
We didn't just spray it; we served it. The event featured a molecular cocktail bar where mixologists created an "Old Fashioned" that perfectly mimicked the scent notes: Burnt Sugar, Bitter Orange, and Oakwood.
It was the ultimate "Gourmand" experience—rich, sticky, sexy, and expensive smelling.
THE CROWD: The "Xiaohongshu" Effect
If it's not on Little Red Book (Xiaohongshu), it didn't happen. The guest list was strictly curated: Top Tier KOLs, Fashion Editors, and the city's "Fuerdai" (Second Gen Wealth).
