Imagine an old wooden ship, barrels of aged rum rolling on the deck, and bundles of vanilla pods drying in the hold. This fragrance is intoxicating, warm, and decidedly hedonistic. It takes the polite Italian vanilla of the original and gets it drunk. It is a scent for the night, for parties, and for lowering inhibitions.
🧪 The Olfactory Architecture: Alcohol and Sugar
The fragrance opens with a hyper-realistic Dark Rum Accord and Davana Oil. It smells fermented, fruity, and sharp, hitting the nose like liquor fumes. As the "alcohol" burns off, it reveals a rich, syrupy heart of Vanilla Bean and Dried Fruits (raisins, figs). This is the gourmand side of vanilla, but it's an adult gourmand. We used Fermentation-Simulation. Recreating the scent of alcohol without the stinging smell of ethanol carrier is difficult. We used a blend of natural fruit esters and heavy lactones to mimic the mouthfeel and "burn" of a sip of rum, creating a physical sensation in the nose that feels warm and expansive.
