๐Ÿชจ The Inspiration: The Kyoto Temple

A moss-covered stone path leading to a wooden temple in Kyoto. It has just rained. Mossy Temple Stone focuses on the wet, green, earthy aspects of the Hwyl profile. It strips away the dry smoke to reveal the damp, living greenery of the forest floor. It is atmospheric, humid, and deeply calming.

๐Ÿงช The Olfactory Architecture: Chlorophyll and Petrichor

The scent opens with Violet Leaf and Wet Stone Accord. It smells like rain. The heart is Oakmoss Absolute and Green Galbanum. It is bitter and lush. The base is Vetiver and Patchouli, smelling of dark, rich soil. It creates a sensation of walking barefoot on moss.

๐ŸŒฟ Raw Material Sourcing: The Forest Floor

  • Oakmoss Absolute (France): We use a low-atranol extract that retains the inky, damp, mushroom-like scent of the forest floor.
  • Geosmin: The molecule responsible for the smell of wet earth (Petrichor).
  • Galbanum: Adds a sharp, green snap of broken stems.

๐Ÿง  The Scent Psychology: Grounding and Reconnection

Earthy scents trigger a primal connection to nature. Mossy Temple Stone is a grounding tool. It helps to pull the mind out of the digital cloud and back into the physical body. It reduces anxiety and promotes a sense of stability.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง The London Lab Technology

We used Hydro-Moss Synthesis. Moss scents can sometimes feel dry and powdery. We developed a technique to bind water molecules (Aquazone) to the moss structure, creating a permanent "Wet Moss" effect that stays dewy on the skin for hours.

โœจ The Application Ritual

When to wear: Rainy days, reading, gardening, or when feeling unmoored.
Where to spray: Wrists and ankles.
Style pairing: Earth tones, linen, corduroy, comfortable layers, and boots.

๐Ÿ’ญ From the Perfumer's Diary

"It smells like nature reclaiming a building. Green, quiet, and powerful. It's the scent of patience. Very wabi-sabi."
