Nomad Pine Water — Inspired by Byredo Gypsy Water (2008)

Nomad Pine Water is a gender-inclusive ScentLab33 fragrance inspired by the olfactory direction of Byredo Gypsy Water (2008). It presents sparkling citrus and juniper over dry pine, incense and a smooth vanilla-wood base. The structure is designed to feel clear, modern and wearable for customers in the US and Europe, while remaining an independent ScentLab33 creation.

Fragrance Notes and Development

Top notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Pepper, and Juniper berries. Bergamot creates the first impression, while Lemon, Pepper, and Juniper berries adds brightness, spice, fruit or texture. The opening is most noticeable during the first 15–30 minutes.

Heart notes: Incense, Pine needles, and Orris. As the opening softens, Incense becomes the centre of the fragrance. Pine needles and Orris gives the middle its floral, woody, aromatic or textural character.

Base notes: Amber, Sandalwood, and Vanilla. Amber anchors the drydown, while Sandalwood and Vanilla adds warmth, dryness, softness or depth. This stage remains after the brighter top notes fade.

Scent summary: Sparkling citrus and juniper over dry pine, incense and a smooth vanilla-wood base. Overall, it sits in the aromatic, woody, citrus family and moves through a distinct opening, a developed heart and a stable drydown rather than smelling completely linear.

Concentration, Wear and Performance

EDT or EDP: EDT gives a lighter, more transparent effect for daytime, commuting and warm weather. EDP gives more body, a fuller heart and a stronger base for evenings, cooler weather or longer plans. Both are available in 50ml and 100ml.

When to wear: Best for spring, autumn and mild summer, especially daily wear, road trips, casual offices and relaxed evenings. It pairs well with washed denim, knitwear, leather boots and minimalist travel layers. Use two to four sprays for office or close-contact wear and four to six for outdoor or evening use. For sport, apply after showering rather than before exercise.

Estimated longevity: approximately 6–8 hours. EDT usually performs near the lower end, while EDP normally reaches the upper end and lasts longer on clothing. Skin chemistry, climate, moisturisation and spray count can change the result, so this is an editorial estimate rather than a guarantee.

Perfumer’s note: The balance depends on keeping Bergamot recognisable without overpowering Incense, then allowing amber to create a clean, memorable finish. The aim is controlled development, not unnecessary loudness.

Quick Guide

FAQ: Who is it for? It is designed as a gender-inclusive fragrance, but anyone who enjoys the note structure can wear it. Can it be layered? Yes—use clean musk for softness, citrus for brightness, or cedar and amber for a drier evening effect. Which size? Choose 50ml for rotation or travel and 100ml for regular use.
